Manager Courtney Belford has added a trio of exciting young players to his Hinckley AFC squad for 2019-20.
Strikers Lewis Commins and Lewis Collins, and midfielder Ryan Ball, link up with Belford’s squad to take the number signed on to five as they join Ty Belford and Bekir Halil.
Commins and Ball both ended last season at Division Two promotion winners GNP Sports, having previously played under Belford at Nuneaton Griff.
A pacy forward, 22-year-old Commins scored 21 goals in 30 starts during his time at Griff, earning him a move to Romulus where he scored a further four times in six starts, featuring a further four times from the bench. After that, he moved to GNP Sports and helped fire them to promotion from Division Two last season.
There, he played alongside central midfielder Ball who has plenty of Division One experience despite still only being 22 years old. He has featured nearly 100 times for the likes of Griff, Atherstone Town and Bolehall Swifts across the last four seasons, popping up with a useful 18 goals in the process.
The third addition is Lewis Collins, a powerful striker who featured for Bedworth United in the Southern Premier Central last season.
The 20-year-old played for Griff under Belford at the start of last season, and then linked up with Romulus before joining the Greenbacks.
The trio all link up with the squad ahead of Saturday’s opening match of pre-season, the Simon Blyth Memorial Cup match at Heather St John’s.
