The board of Hinckley AFC have last night accepted the resignation of Gerry Abbott as a club director and Under 18 team secretary.
After five seasons of service to our club, Gerry feels the time is right for him to step back from the role and enjoy a well earned break.
Ever since the formative days of our club he has always been an active and willing volunteer. Be it painting changing rooms or looking after the youth team admin, he has always stepped up to commit his time and enthusiasm to a whole variety of tasks, many of them behind the scenes, and we as a club would like to place our gratitude on the record.
The board would like to thank Gerry for all his hard work on a number of projects, most notably his excellent work behind the scenes helping to set up and run our Under 18s team since its formation.
Gerry’s departure leaves the club with a vacancy for Under 18s match day secretary. If anyone would like to get involved and volunteer to take on this role please email chairman Bryan White chairman@hinckleyafc.co.uk.
