Hinckley AFC will look to build on last week’s draw with Rocester when they travel to Cadbury Athletic tomorrow, kick off 3pm.
And after Matt Jelfs’ strike earned a share of the spoils last week, AFC will go in search of a positive result against another side who have struggled for wins of late.
Indeed, both sides’ records over their last 11 games are comparable: a win and three draws for AFC in that time, one wins and two draws for the Chocolateman.
That run has seen Cadbury fall away from the FA Cup spots which they once held after an impressive start to the season – but they have now dropped back into mid-table.
They occupy 11th spot, 12 points above Hinckley having played a game more, yet only the bottom three sides have scored fewer goals than them.
Since beating Uttoxeter Town in mid-February the Chocolatemen haven’t found the back of the net, but their defence remains one of Division One’s meanest with only five sides conceding fewer goals.
Hinckley did score first against Cadbury in the reverse fixture back in September (where Grant Ryan is pictured on the ball), but the visitors scored twice to turn the game around and condemn Hinckley to their first home defeat of the season.
