Hinckley AFC are back in action this evening when they travel to Racing Club Warwick, kick off 7-45pm.
After a stalemate with Nuneaton Griff and a last gasp defeat to Chelmsley in the past week, John Ramshaw’s men take to the pitch for the third time in eight days as they travel to Townsend Meadow to face Scott Easterlow’s title chasers.
Warwick have only lost twice in the league all season, with one of those defeats on the opening day, and have four games in hand on top of the table Heather, sitting nine points off the top.
They have won their last five league games going back to mid-November.
In Ben Mackey, they have a forward who has scored 21 goals in 19 games this season and has considerable higher level experience – but Trea Bertie and Luke Cole are also both in double figures.
But Hinckley will be after a reaction to Saturday’s late defeat, and reactions wouldn’t come much better than an upset at the in-form Racers.
The sides last met on the final day of last season, when Warwick took a 3-1 win, coming a matter of weeks after an end-to-end 4-4 draw between the sides at St John’s Park.
