Hinckley AFC will hope to start 2019 as they mean to go on – with three points when Stapenhill visit the Welfare Ground tomorrow.
After a tricky end to 2018, in which John Ramshaw faced three of the league’s top seven in December in his first three games in charge, the experienced manager is seeking his first win as manager when Stapenhill visit tomorrow.
AFC sit five points above their visitors in the table with three games in hand, and will hope to kickstart the new year with a win over Stapenhill.
Tomorrow’s visitors have picked up just one point in their last seven games, and have conceded 15 in their last two with Heather St John’s scoring six against them and Lichfield City netting nine on Boxing Day.
But they proved tricky opposition for AFC on the opening day when AFC led, then trailed, and eventually salvaged a late draw on a baking hot afternoon.
That reverse fixture took place on the opening day of the season, but with climes considerably cooler tomorrow afternoon, fans will want to be kept warm by the football on show.
