Hinckley AFC regret to confirm that manager James Jepson and assistant John Ramshaw have stepped down from their positions with the club.
After being appointed in the summer, Jepson and Ramshaw assembled a team from scratch and took charge of 21 competitive games during their time at the club.
During their reign, the club lost just four league matches while they also guided AFC to the third round of the Buildbase FA Vase.
On his departure, Jepson said: “Whilst I accept that the timing prior to a big FA Vase game is far from perfect – and for this I apologise whole heartedly to our brilliant fans – I feel my position has been made untenable.
“I would like to thank Hinckley for affording me the opportunity to manage the club and wish them every success for the future.”
Chairman Steve Jelfs said: “While we very much regret James and John’s decision, we would like to place on record our gratitude for their hard work. We know that it has not been easy.”
The search for a new management team starts immediately and we will make a further announcement in due course.
