Further to yesterday’s news of Sam Belcher and Louis Hamilton agreeing to join, two AFC players from the end of last season have now agreed to stay with the club.
The duo are the first two from last season’s squad to tell James Jepson of their intention to remain with the club, with the new manager hoping others will follow after welcoming them all back for pre-season.
Winger Kai Tonge, whose blistering pace caused no end of problems for full backs last season, has agreed to remain at the club after netting four times in his 20 games in 2017-18.
Similarly, centre back Richard Munday has also told Jepson that he will stay at the club next term. The former Redditch man played 30 times last year despite spending time out injured.
The pair both played key roles in AFC’s final few months as they reached a high of second in the table before the number of matches caught up with the side late on.
