Hinckley AFC will travel to Stafford Town on the opening day of the Midland League Division One season after the fixtures were released this morning.
Carl Abbott’s side start with their first trip on the recently laid 3G pitch at Evans Park on Saturday 12th August, a week after the Emirates FA Cup tie against Worksop Town.
The first home game follows shortly after, giving Paul Sullivan and Andy Westwood a quick return to St John’s Park as we host Walsall Wood on Tuesday 15th August.
August concludes with a brace of local derbies, at home to Nuneaton Griff and away to Atherstone Town, either side of a home game against newly promoted Paget Rangers.
We only have two festive fixtures this Christmas time, away to Lichfield City on Saturday 23rd December before a Boxing Day clash with Heather St John’s.
Our final home game is against Bolehall Swifts, before a trip to Racing Club Warwick on Saturday 28th April brings the curtain down on 2017-18.
We have also received a bye to the second round of the Polymac Packaging League Cup. We will host the winner of the first round tie between AFC Wulfrunians and Droitwich Spa.
