Hinckley AFC’s match against Uttoxeter Town at St John’s Park this afternoon will be Lee Butler’s 50th for the club.
Having joined just over a year ago from Romulus, Butler quickly became a popular figure with supporters and could become the 14th player to reach a half century of appearances for the club.
He has scored five goals in that time with his deadly set pieces from just outside the box providing all of them, the highlight arguably being that stunning free kick against Berkhamsted.
Today, AFC host a Uttoxeter side who haven’t played a game in three weeks but won four of their last five before their enforced break.
They haven’t lost a game since Boxing Day and now sit 13th in the league, with 36 points from their 24 games thus far.
Luke Lewis has provided their biggest threat in front of goal this season, netting 16 times, and it was he who scored Uttoxeter’s goal in the reverse fixture back in September, when braces from Paul Sullivan and Ryan Seal helped AFC to a 6-1 win.
