Hinckley AFC will move back into the top four of the Midland League First Division with a win over Stafford Town at St John’s Park tomorrow, kick off 7-45pm.
Carl Abbott’s side will be looking to follow up their impressive victory at Cadbury Athletic on Satuday with another three points, this time over third-bottom Stafford.
AFC have still played the fewest games of anyone in the league, and will move to 48 points with a victory tomorrow and just two points behind Leicester Road in third.
But they will face a Stafford side who had an impressive win at St John’s Park on Saturday, when they took all three points against Heather St John’s, and will want to repeat the feat three days later.
The Reds are a point ahead of Studley, and just a point behind Pershore Town and Pelsall Villa in the battle to avoid the drop. They have 19 points from their 25 games.
The reverse fixture back in August saw a late Ryan Seal penalty take all three points for Hinckley as Abbott’s side overturned an early deficit to take their first win of the season.
The game will also see Sam Agar go up against his former club, and he has happy memories of playing both for and against Stafford. Having once netted 60 times for them in a season, he then scored five times against them last season while playing for AFC in a 9-0 win.
