World Cancer Day

World Cancer DayHinckley AFC will be marking World Cancer Day on 4th February by wearing a special edition pink kit in our three matches that week.

Recently, the club have experienced the impact of cancer with both our senior and junior set ups affected.

The kit will feature pink shirts, pink shorts and white socks, will be worn in our match away at Cadbury Athletic on World Cancer Day itself, and in our two home matches that follow against Stafford Town on Tuesday 7th and Atherstone Town on Saturday 11th.

The kits, having been worn for all three games, will then be available for supporters to buy as a keepsake. The shirts and shorts are available for a charitable donation of £20 or more with all money raised going to worthwhile causes.

Manager Carl Abbott said: “It’s fair to say that we as a football club have been hit hard in recent times and we wanted to lend support to those involved with our club, and outside of our club, bravely battling the illness.

“It’s an emotive topic, particularly at this time, but this will be very different and very special, and will mean a lot to us all.”

The kits will be numbered between two and seventeen, excluding thirteen. To secure the shirt and shorts of a number of your choice, you can email info@hinckleyafc.org.uk with your bid or contact Abbo or kit manager Ian Nichol directly.
