December saw five wins and one defeat for Hinckley AFC – and now it’s time to vote for your Easy Laundry Player of the Month.
The four nominees include a goalkeeper, a defender, a midfielder and a striker after another impressive month all over the park from Carl Abbott’s side.
Each of the four will be looking to take the crown from November’s winner Ryan Seal and win the final award of 2016. But who gets your vote?
The first nominee is Paul Sullivan. The former Chasetown man started every game in December and was a thorn in opposing defences throughout the month. He scored four goals, played a pivotal role in several more and won the Man of the Match award against Leicester Road.
Another former Chasetown man also makes the list, in the shape of midfielder Andy Westwood. He started the first five games in the month and was influential in the middle of the park, opening the scoring against Leicester Road and providing a brace of assists in the League Cup win over Boldmere St Michaels.
Goalkeeper Haydn Whitcombe also makes the list after another solid month between the posts. He made a number of crucial saves throughout the month, has been ever-present since joining from Littleton in August and has proved a reliable last line of defence.
The final nominee is James Williams. The right back has been up and down the flank in all six games – assured in defence and a threat in attack too, providing three goals this month. He won Man of the Match against Studley and showed his versatility in playing on the left side against Leicester Road.
The vote can be found pinned to our Twitter page, or you can vote on the website at http://hinckleyafc.org.uk/voting/. You have until midnight on 9th January to vote for December’s Player of the Month – get voting!
