Hinckley AFC players, management and officials were given an all access tour of DPD’s Hub Four on Thursday.
The hub, which opened in September 2015, was a hive of activity upon the visit of the AFC squad and management team, along with four directors.
The AFC visitors witnessed parcels being manoeuvred around the hub, and got in amongst the workforce on the ground floor of what DPD describe as “Europe’s largest and most technically advanced parcel sorting hub.”
The tour was provided by General Manager, James Richards, along with Hub Manager Richard Wilson and Hub Operations Manager Darren Twigger, before the squad finished their evening with a team curry.
The club have continued to develop our partnership with DPD this year, with the multi-national parcel delivery firm also sponsoring some of our Junior teams for the first time.
Hinckley AFC commercial director, Jason Tipping, said: “DPD have been an integral part of the club’s success since its inception, and it’s great to see our relationship with them continue to develop.
“In giving thanks to James, Richard and Darren providing a tour of the facility, a goody hamper was provided with a variety of Hinckley AFC merchandise.”
On behalf of the playing staff and officials of the club, we would like to thank DPD for their hospitality and look forward to an ever-strengthening relationship.
