Hinckley AFC travel to Coleshill Town this evening looking to extend their stay in this season’s Polymac Packaging League Cup.
The match will see two high flyers in their respective leagues go head to head, with Hinckley looking to cause an upset by knocking out a side from the league above.
On Saturday, Coleshill inflicted just a second defeat of the season upon Westfields, by coming away from Hereford with a comprehensive 4-0 win.
That leaves them fourth in the Midland League Premier Division table, level on points with Westfields – who have played four games fewer – and five points behind current leaders Alvechurch with two games in hand.
Meanwhile, Hinckley recorded a comprehensive win of their own by putting twelve goals past bottom of the table Southam United in a win helped by four goals from Ryan Seal and Paul Sullivan’s hat-trick.
That win moved them up to fifth, but Carl Abbott’s side are sure to face a much sterner
test tonight against a Coleshill side that includes former Hinckley striker Jordan Nadat.
The winners of tonight’s tie will progress to the third round, and will be at home to either Boldmere St Michaels or Bolehall Swifts who meet in their second round match next week.
Coleshill play at Pack Meadow, Packington Lane, Coleshill, B46 3JQ, and the game will be played on their 3G pitch.
