After a first league defeat on Tuesday, Hinckley AFC will hope to bounce back at the first attempt against Racing Club Warwick at St John’s Park tomorrow, kick off 3pm.
Carl Abbott’s side were defeated by early pacesetters Bromsgrove Sporting on Tuesday, and will want to return to winning ways on Saturday against another side who have started the season well.
The Racers have won two and drawn two of their opening four fixtures in an unbeaten start to 2016-17, which was extended with Tuesday’s 3-1 win over league newcomers Chelmsley Town.
Hinckley, meanwhile, have won one, drawn one and lost one of their opening three league games, but could climb the table quickly if they pick up the six points that are on offer over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The Racers have had the better of the previous meetings between the two sides, winning two of the last four games.
That included the most recent match, on a wet November afternoon at St John’s Park when Chris Dusabe’s penalty was the only goal.
Hinckley’s only win against Racing Club came at Townsend Meadow last year – a 3-1 success in which Sean Williams and Javia Roberts both found the net.
