Hinckley AFC and Heanor Town will meet again tomorrow evening as they battle to progress to the Preliminary Round of the Emirates FA Cup.
After Friday night’s 1-1 draw, the two sides will go toe to toe for a second time at Heanor’s Town Ground tomorrow as they both look to take the honours from the tie.
Captain for the evening Ryan Paddock gave Hinckley a first half lead in the original game on Friday evening, before Elliott Reeves levelled for The Lions in a game where both defences impressed.
Hinckley, though, will be boosted by the fact that striker Sam Agar and last season’s Player of the Year, Lee Thomas, have both now served their suspensions following their red cards against Coventry Copsewood last season.
Long Eaton United await the winners in the Preliminary Round on Saturday 20th August after they defeated Oadby Town, from the United Counties League, on Saturday.
The Midland League outfit went 2-0 ahead in the first half after Oadby were reduced to ten men, and although The Poachers pulled one back after the break, they couldn’t force a replay and Long Eaton progressed.
A win for Heanor tomorrow will see them face their league and county rivals, while a
Hinckley victory would give Carl Abbott’s side the chance to avenge last season’s FA Vase defeat to the same opponents.
Heanor play at The Town Ground, Mayfield Avenue, Heanor, Derbyshire, DE75 7EN
