Hinckley AFC’s friendly away at Wolves Sporting on Saturday has had to be cancelled.
The game was scheduled to take place at Sporting’s Hazel Lane ground, kicking off at 3pm, and would have been AFC’s fifth friendly out of seven this pre-season.
But with a large number of players having picked up injuries in previous matches, along with some unavailabilities, Carl Abbott feels it would be beneficial for the remaining players to rest up ahead of taking on Barwell on Tuesday.
He said: ‘With a large number of players on holiday, which I was aware of, injuries picked up to remaining players across games against Quorn, Sporting Khalsa and Bedworth United mean that we are stretched.’
We send our apologies to Wolves Sporting and our supporters who were hoping to travel. We return to pre-season action against Leicestershire rivals Barwell at St John’s Park on Tuesday.
