Clubs in the Midland Football League’s Premier Division and Division One have learnt that the season has been extended by a week.
The league Board have agreed that all matches in the top two tiers of the Midland League scheduled to take place on Saturday 30th April will now be played on Saturday 7th May, including Hinckley AFC’s trip to Littleton.
In an email to clubs yesterday evening, league secretary Nigel Wood said: ‘the unprecedented rainfall this winter has led to us experiencing an increased number of postponements and does appear to show any signs of relenting in the short term.
‘With this in mind, the Board have all agreed that the season should be extended until Saturday 7th May’.
