The vote is now open for Hinckley AFC’s Player of the Month for March, and all four nominees need your votes to be crowned the winner.
An impressive month from Carl Abbott’s side saw five wins, two draws and one defeat form eight matches, culminating in Wednesday’s magnificent 4-0 win over Lichfield City.
But who stood out for you?
Was it the goals from Sam Agar? A clinical first full month at the club saw the striker net seven times in just six games, including bagging all four goals against Pilkington XXX. He also brought others into play with some superb hold up play and has settled into life at Hinckley AFC well.
Lee Butler is another enjoying his first full month at the club, and he is the second nominee. He has struck up a central midfield partnership with Darious Darkin and has tidily gone about his business protecting the back four. He’s yet to score for the club, but played in seven of the eight games and is fast becoming a key member of Carl Abbott’s side.
Meanwhile, Isaac Cooper has taken to life back at Hinckley AFC like a duck to water. The left sided player scored just one goal in his first spell at the club last season, but found the net four times in a month where he impressed on the wing or at left back, looking threatening going forward and assured in defence.
The final nominee is Mitchell Tomlinson. The nineteen year old was the only outfield player to play every minute of the club’s games in March, and looked calm whether at centre half or right back. The last two games of the month saw him settle into a partnership with Ryan Paddock, alongside whom he helped keep Lichfield quiet on Wednesday.
