Hinckley AFC will hope to build on the success of reachingHinckley AFC badge the Jelson Homes Senior Cup Semi Finals by getting league points on the board when they face Pelsall Villa at St John’s Park tomorrow, kick off 3pm.

Ryan Seal’s last minute penalty secured progression for a depleted AFC in Tuesday’s Quarter Final, and they will be looking to carry that success into their Midland League First Division form.

They have lost two on the bounce in the league, and currently sit ninth in the table. Although only one side in the league has played fewer games than Carl Abbott’s side, they are ten points behind Midland Football LeagueBromsgrove Sporting, who sit in the fourth and final FA Cup spot.

Tomorrow they face a Pelsall side who have greatly improved on their second-bottom finish last season. They have won six of their 21 games thus far, picking up 20 points to put them in 14th place in the table.

Pelsall have lost their last four away games in all competitions, but in Spencer Blackham they have a striker who has already scored 12 goals this season, and he has been well supported by seven-goal Dean Williams.Pelsall Villa

In the corresponding fixture last season, Hinckley racked up 13 goals without reply to record their first ever home league win, but they were given a much sterner test in the reverse fixture, when ten man AFC twice fell behind before securing a 3-2 win.
