Match Preview: Heather St John’s (h)
The games continue to come thick and fast for Hinckley AFC as they take on Heather St John’s tomorrow, kick off 3pm.
AFC return to league action following yesterday’s memorable 6-2 win at Bromsgrove Sporting in the Preliminary Round of the Emirates FA Cup, and will be looking to make it four wins in five league games against their landlords tomorrow.
So far, victories over Cadbury Athletic, Studley and Lichfield City have given Hinckley nine points from their four matches, with their only defeat coming against Coventry United.
In contrast, no team has conceded more goals than Heather’s 29 in seven games this season, their misery being compounded by a 10-0 defeat to Nuneaton Griff on Wednesday evening before a 5-2 defeat to Racing Club Warwick yesterday.
But they will still pose a threat going forward – striker Dave Yonwin has netted six times already this season after scoring 46 times for Bolehall Swifts last year.
The two games between the sides last season both finished level. Sean Williams’ goal earned Hinckley a 1-1 draw on a wet August Bank Holiday, before the reverse fixture ended 2-2 on Easter Monday.
