Tommo: A Really Good Result
Hinckley AFC Assistant Manager Paul Tomlinson said the goalless draw against Walsall Wood in the FA Cup yesterday was ‘a really good result’.
Tomlinson took charge of the team yesterday with Carl Abbott called in to work, and the stand in manager was proud of the way the side performed despite the numerical disadvantage.
He said: ‘It was a really good result in the end. With going down a man in the manner that we did, I think the lads have put in a real shift for each other, which is really important.
‘They’ve really backed each other up today against a decent side, you can see why they finished so well in their division last year. But I think with what we’ve done today, and how we’ve played especially second half, I’m so proud and I know Abbo will be when I speak to him later tonight.
‘The guys have put a real shift in for each other today, which is what I wanted to see. They’ve backed each other up properly today, it was fantastic.’
