Match Preview: Racing Club Warwick (h)
Hinckley AFC play their first of three games in a week tomorrow when they face Racing Club Warwick at St John’s Park, kick off 3pm.
AFC face fellow high flyers Bolehall Swifts and Bromsgrove Sporting in the coming seven days, but first they will have to overcome a Racing Club Warwick side who have won their last two games with victories over Pershore Town and Littleton.
They currently sit eighteenth in the Midland League First Division table, with 29 points from their 30 matches.
The Racers won the reverse fixture at Townsend Meadow back in September, when a goal in each half from Ryan Langmead condemned Hinckley to defeat despite JJ Melligan’s late penalty.
But since then, AFC have gone on a 21 game unbeaten run that has seen them rise to the top of the table with 63 points from 31 games.
Carl Abbott hopes to include a new player in his squad tomorrow after completing the signing of central defender Richard Munday during the week. The former Hinckley United and Worcester City defender has most recently played his football at Romulus, and will give AFC strength in depth at the back.
