Match Preview: Stafford Town (a)
Tomorrow afternoon’s match between Stafford Town and Hinckley AFC at Evans Park will see the meeting of two of the Midland League First Division’s form teams.
The home side have lost just one of their last eight matches in all competitions, and have lifted themselves to fifteenth place after a difficult start, five points above the side directly below them, Heather St John’s.
Similarly, Hinckley are unbeaten in their last eight matches, and now lie eighth after playing exactly half of their league fixtures.
Should they play, Matt Gardner will be looking to score his tenth league goal for Hinckley, having scored the previous nine in just eight games, while JJ Melligan will make his twentieth competitive appearance for the club: the third player to do so after Sam Arnold and Nathan Walker.
Stafford play at Evans Park, Riverway, Stafford, ST16 3TH. The ground is around 3.5 miles from Junction 13 of the M6.
