Match Preview: Studley (a)

Hinckley AFC travel to Studley tomorrow in the hope of avenging September’s 1-0 defeat to the same opposition.

The reverse encounter ended in a win for the visitors, with former Hinckley forward Matt Bailey grabbing the only goal of the game, but the match will be remembered for the three red cards shown in the first half, where Studley were reduced to ten men; Hinckley to nine.

Since then, ‘The Bees’ have won six of their eight matches, but only two of them have come in the league: they have played five cup matches since the start of October.

A a result, Studley currently sit eighth in the Midland League First Division, two places and four points ahead of Hinckley, albeit with two games in hand.

The will jump above Coventry Copsewood into seventh if they avoid defeat, while an away win would see Hinckley move up to ninth.

Studley play at ‘The Beehive’, Abbeyfields Drive, Studley, Warwickshire, B80 7BF. From Junction 3 of the M42, head towards Redditch on the A435. After five miles, Abbeyfields Drive in on left left hand side, around half a mile past ‘The Boot’ Public House, adjacent to a sharp left bend.
