Match Preview: Littleton (a)
It promises to be an entertaining afternoon when Hinckley AFC travel to Littleton this afternoon, kick off 3pm.
The match sees the meeting of the Midland League First Division’s two highest scoring sides: Littleton have scored 21 goals in their first seven matches, Hinckley 20 in their first six.
And after recent big wins away at Studley (5-2), at home to Heather St John’s (5-1), and at home to Pelsall Villa (5-0), Littleton now lie third in the table, behind Coventry Copsewood and Highgate United.
Hinckley are now in twelfth following last weekend’s double header – the 2-1 defeat to Bromsgrove on Saturday, and the 1-1 draw with Heather St John’s on Monday.
Manager Carl Abbott has refined his squad during the week; the management team mutually agreed with Craig Bannister and Richard Robinson that it would be beneficial to seek first team football elsewhere.
Littleton play at Five Acres, Pebworth Road, North Littleton, Warwickshire, WR11 8QL. To get there, leave the A46 at the Bidford roundabout, an follow the signs for the B439.
When you come to the roundabout in Bidford, take the exit for the B4085 for Cleeve Prior, over a narrow bridge controlled by traffic lights. Go straight over the crossroads, following the sign to Honeybourne Broadway.
Then go straight on for approximately 3 miles signpost right turn for the Littletons at the crossroads, and the ground is 1¼ miles on the right.
