Match Preview: Cadbury Athletic (a)
The curtain is raised on 2015-16 tomorrow as Hinckley AFC travel to Cadbury Athletic for the start of their second season in the Midland League Division One.
Both sides have enjoyed successful pre-season campaigns, with Cadbury winning their last three matches (including a 3-2 win at Coventry Sphinx) and Hinckley impressing against a host of higher level opponents.
The two matches between the sides last season were both won by the home team; Cadbury emerging 2-1 victors in August and Hinckley winning 3-1 in October.
Should he play tomorrow, Alex Morris will make his thirtieth appearance for Hinckley, while Marco Adaggio is just one goal shy of becoming the first player to score 25 goals for the club.
For 2015-16, Cadbury will be groundsharing at Pilkington XXX’s Triplex Sports Association Ground, Eckersall Road, Kings Norton, Birmingham, B38 8SR. The ground is approximately four and a half miles from Junction Two of the M42, and is just a short walk away from Kings Norton Railway Station.
