Experienced forward Steve Chaplin was a part of the strike duo that helped Dunkirk win the East Midlands Counties League last season.

 

Having previously played higher for Carlton Town, he has also played in the Midland League Premier Division for Shepshed Dynamo and Bardon Hill in recent years – scoring 11 times in 21 games for the latter despite playing in a largely struggling side.

 

After leaving Bardon Hill, he spent time with Kimberley Miners Welfare before linking up with Dunkirk, for whom he fired 25 goals on their way to the league title.

 

James Jepson says Chaplin is good at bringing others into play, and also chips in with his fair share of goals.
