A dominant defender, Max Jemson has plenty of experience in our new league despite still being relatively young, having previously played for Gresley Rovers, Melton Town, Heanor Town and AFC Mansfield in the United Counties Premier North.

He spent time as a youth at Doncaster Rovers before moving into non-league, where Sleaford Town and Grantham Town were his first clubs.

But it was for Mansfield where he spent the most time, featuring in more than 50 games before moving to Gresley, where under the management former AFC boss Courtney Belford, he helped them avoid relegation with a late-season surge. Spells with Heanor and Melton followed.

Max comes from good stock with his father Nigel playing professionally for Nottingham Forest under Brian Clough, while elder brother Charlie has also had a non-league career and played against Hinckley for Ilkeston Town in 2017/18.
