An experienced centre forward, Nick Wellecomme is taking a break from the travelling involved in the Northern Premier League and was quickly signed by Carl Abbott for 2016-17.
A striker with experience of steps two, three and four, he is a strong and hardworking player with a ‘great engine and a good eye for goal’ according to Abbott.
He started out at Brocton, scoring nearly 70 goals for them before joining Newcastle Town.
He then joined Stafford Rangers, and has three spells at Marston Road, captaining them on occasions in the Conference North.
He has also spent time at Hednesford Town, Chasetown and Kidsgrove Athletic.
His availability is slightly limited due to his young family, but Abbo hopes to see more of Nick as the season progresses.
