Match Preview: Coventry United (h)
It’s another cup match for Hinckley AFC tomorrow night as they take on league rivals Coventry United in the League Cup at St John’s Park, kick off 7-45pm.
After tomorrow’s game, Hinckley will have played more matches in cup competitions so far this season than they have in the league, with the League Cup being the third cup competition of the year.
AFC go into the competition after success in both the FA Cup and FA Vase, and will be keen to avenge the 4-0 defeat by the same opponents in the league back in August.
That day, Hinckley created chances of their own but couldn’t finish them, and they were punished by a clinical Coventry side who are currently top of the Midland League First Division.
The two sides have lost just one game apiece this campaign, and between them have scored 40 goals in fourteen league games ahead of what promises to be an entertaining encounter between two confident teams.
