Hinckley ‘Mini Knitters’

Hinckley ‘Mini Knitters’ has been run on a Saturday morning between 10 and 11am for seven years.

Its aim has always been to encourage 4/5 and 6 year olds from the community to get involved in football, and has successfully provided the community junior club with new under seven teams for each season.
It has always been supported by whoever has run the club, including the liquidator, with free access allowed.
However, control of the the All Weather Pitch passed from the liquidator last week and the mini knitters were presented with a invoice by Leicester Road Stadium at 9.30 Saturday morning for £350 for usage.
This is £70 per week for something that is set up to self fund only.
Hinckley AFC are contesting this charge and ask that the parents and children involved please bear with us.
In the meantime, ‘Mini Knitters’ will be continuing to run on Saturday mornings, still between 10 and 11am, now at John Cleveland College. Anyone who is interested in joining please contact Matthew Carter on 07711 486956
