March’s Player of the Month: The Nominees
Our Player of the Month vote for March is now up and running on our ‘voting’ page, and to help you decide we’ve reviewed how the nominees have done over the last month.
Marco Adaggio scored three goals during the month, including two (and that dramatic late leveller) against Bolehall Swifts. He also provided an assist for JJ Melligan against Racing Club Warwick.
Goalkeeper Sam Arnold provided a solid last line of defence during March, while JJ Melligan was influential in Hinckley’s midfield over the month. He scored against Racing Club Warwick, and took a quick goal kick at Bromsgrove on Saturday that lead to Tyrone Clarke-O’Connell’s equaliser.
The central defensive partnership of Alex Morris and Dom Smith are also nominated for the third month in a row. Smith won February’s Player of the Month, and celebrated in style by scoring the winner at Bromsgrove on Saturday, while Morris continued to impress alongside him at the heart of Hinckley’s back line.
The final nominee for the month is Luke Richards. The striker won the supporters’ Man of the Match against Racing Club Warwick for his powerful goalscoring performance, and also drilled home AFC’s second at Bolehall.
