Match Preview: Pershore Town (a)
Hinckley AFC make their furthest away trip of the season today when they travel to Worcestershire to face Pershore Town, kick off 3pm.
AFC are unbeaten in fourteen following last week’s draw with Pilkington XXX, which halted their run of eight consecutive wins.
Dropped points last week saw Carl Abbott’s side overtaken in the Midland League First Division by Bolehall Swifts, meaning that Hinckley sit fourth in the table going in to tomorrow’s match with 45 points from 25 matches.
In contrast, Pershore sit fourth from bottom in the table, having picked up 20 points from 22 games.
Despite only scoring 24 league goals (only Pelsall Villa have scored fewer), tomorrow’s hosts kept a clean sheet at Bromsgrove Sporting last week, and became the first team to prevent The Rouslers from finding the net since Highgate United did so on the opening day of the season.
Pershore play at King George V Stadium, King George’s Way, Pershore, Worcestershire, WR10 1QU. The ground is not far from Junction 7 of the M5 or the A46 at Evesham.
