Twelve Moments of Christmas: Number One
We’ve counted down our twelve favourite moments of 2015, and it’s now time to reveal number one!
We’ve chosen Luke Richards’ stoppage time winner against Leicester Road as number one in our ‘Twelve Moments of Christmas’, as he completed a magnificent comeback from Abbo’s men to record a 3-2 victory.
A lacklustre first half saw AFC two goals down at the break, but after Leicester Road’s goalkeeper Will Highland saw red, Richards and Sean Williams scored to bring Hinckley level and set up a dramatic conclusion.
With time running out, Richards rose higher than everyone else at the far post to nod Alex Penny’s deep cross into the bottom corner and send almost all of the 290 in attendance wild.
Fortunately, we caught the game on video, and the highlights are below for those of you who weren’t at the game, or for those who want to relive what we think was Hinckley AFC’s best moment of 2015.
Hopefully you’ve enjoyed our ‘Twelve Moments of Christmas’ as a look back on 2015, and that there will be more of the same to come in 2016…
