Match Preview: Racing Club Warwick (h)
After last week’s dramatic late win, confidence is sure to be high in the Hinckley AFC camp ahead of Racing Club Warwick’s visit to St John’s Park this afternoon, kick off 3pm.
Last time out, Luke Richards’ stoppage time header completed a remarkable turnaround from Carl Abbott’s side as they snatched all three points from the clash with Leicester Road.
This week AFC are at home for the third successive game, against a Warwick side who travel to Leicestershire on the back of their FA Vase exit at Cleethorpes Town last week.
Fifteen appears to be the number of choice for The Racers at the moment: they sit in fifteenth place in the Midland League Division One table, with fifteen points from their fifteen league games.
In seventh, Hinckley will be looking to continue closing the gap on the sides above them, four of whom have 32 points.
The Racers held the upper hand between the sides last season when they held Abbott’s men to a draw at St John’s Park after defeating them 2-1 at Townsend Meadow in September.
But Hinckley recorded their first win over Warwick earlier this season, when goals from Sean Williams, Javia Roberts and Jordan Nadat helped them to a 3-1 victory.
