Match Preview: Bolehall Swifts (a)
For the first time in almost three weeks, Hinckley AFC play a match in the Midland League Division One tomorrow as they travel to Bolehall Swifts.
The scene of a last-gasp recovery last season, when Luke Richards and Marco Adaggio both scored in stoppage time to steal a 3-3 draw and preserve the lengthy unbeaten run, Bolehall will hold good memories for Carl Abbott’s side.
Thanks to successful cup runs, AFC have played just seven league games so far this campaign, fewer than every other side in the division. They are currently in eleventh place, but will be just three points behind leaders Coventry United if they win all their games in hand.
Now, they will play three league matches in a row for the first time this season as they attempt to close the gap on the league’s early pace-setters.
The first of those is tomorrow against a Bolehall side who are currently bottom of the table, having won just one league game this season (3-1 over Heather St John’s).
In the three matches between the sides last season Bolehall were unbeaten, so Hinckley will hope the conquer the Swifts for the first time tomorrow to aid their climb up the table.
Bolehall play at Rene Road, Bolehall, Tamworth, Staffordshire, B77 3NN. The ground is situated just under two miles from the A5.
