Match Preview: Racing Club Warwick (a)
Hinckley AFC return to league action for the first time in almost three weeks tomorrow when they travel to Townsend Meadow to face Racing Club Warwick, kick off 3pm.
After over a fortnight of dealing in cup competition, AFC are back in Midland League Division One action having won four of their five games thus far, and despite sitting ninth in the table have at least two games in hand on every other club in the league.
The Racers are currently thirteenth in the table, having picked up nine points from their nine games thus far. They have had a mixed bag of results, recording big wins over Pershore Town (4-1) and Heather St John’s (5-2) while suffering a heavy 9-1 defeat to Nuneaton Griff.
They are also still in the FA Vase, having beaten East Midlands Counties League side Ashby Ivanhoe 2-0.
In the two games between the sides last season, Warwick record a 2-1 win at Townsend Meadow in September, before the reverse fixture in March saw them grab a last gasp equaliser in a 2-2 draw.
