DPD Help Hinckley AFC Deliver Success
Hinckley AFC are delighted to announce that DPD will once again be the club’s Primary Sponsor for the upcoming 2015-16 season.
In 2014-15, the support of DPD helped Carl Abbott’s side deliver a 27 match unbeaten run stretching six months from October to April, along with reaching the Jelson Homes Senior Cup Final. The continuation of the sponsorship deal means the Multi-National parcel delivery company will have their logo upon the front of AFC’s shirts for a second season.
With both organisations new to the local area (DPD will move into their new £100m parcel sorting hub in Hinckley in the autumn), the extension of the partnership allows both DPD and Hinckley AFC to make an immediate impact in the local community.
And AFC chairman Gary Hancox was quick to extend his thanks to DPD, saying: ‘I’m extremely grateful for the support that DPD have lent us in our first two years. To have such a significant a partner as DPD while still being in our infancy has been a great boost to the club and shows they support what we are trying to achieve by creating a football club that the community can be proud of.
‘Ours has been a great journey thus far and that has only been possible because of the support from the local community and DPD, whose time and investment has been invaluable.’

The players and everyone involved did the club proud last season and it was a real honour to be part of the club’s first year in existence. What has been achieved in the short time the club has been in existence has been incredible and we’re very happy to continue supporting the club as it builds on its position in the community.
