Dom Smith: February’s Player of the Month

Congratulations to Dom Smith, who was voted Hinckley AFC’s Player of the Month for February by the club’s supporters and celebrated in style by scoring the winner at Bromsgrove Sporting yesterday.

The big centre half received 58% of the votes, winning ahead of his central defensive partner Alex Morris and recent signing Danny Kavanagh, who came second and third respectively.

Smith was part of a back four that kept three league clean sheets during February, while he also chipped in with the opening goal at Nuneaton Griff.

He received his prize immediately after yesterday’s victory at Bromsgrove (below, picture courtesy of Simon Blyth), and becomes the fifth different player to win the award after Luke Richards, Mitchell Tomlinson, Marco Adaggio and Nathan Walker.

The vote for March’s Player of the Month will be up and running in the coming days.
