Members Evening Round Up
Hinckley AFC’s first Members’ Evening of the new year took place in Gadsby’s last night, with lots of items discussed.
Items on the agenda started with a brief reflection on the journey of the last twelve months from chairman Gary Hancox, before secretary Steve Jelfs gave an update on facilities for the 2015-16 season. Supporters said they were pleased with the facilities that Heather St John’s have provided for the club this year, and discussions regarding next season’s ground will start shortly.
Then, committee member Vernon Bailey gave an update on the club’s ‘reasonably strong’ finances, and Russ Abbott explained the importance of supporters attending club events. He explained that a fundraising event for the summer was in the planning.
Jason Tipping then stressed the importance of the lottery, and updated members on the club’s sponsorship plans for the 2015-16 season.
Other items discussed included media and communications – we now have 3,330 people following our feeds across Facebook and Twitter and a new-look matchday programme courtesy of Richard Pyatt – a merchandise update from Simon Blyth and a final call for volunteers from Ron Ashby. It’s your club – if you feel you can assist us in any way please don’t hesitate to get in touch with a member of the Working Group.
