Match Preview: Lichfield City (h)
Hinckley AFC take on Lichfield City at St John’s Park this evening in the hope of making it six league wins in seven.
The recent run of results has seen Carl Abbott’s side rise from sixteenth in the Midland League First Division table to tenth, and a win tonight would see them leapfrog their opponents into ninth.
Lichfield manager Gary Birch will face Hinckley for the second time this season at St John’s Park: he was in charge of Highgate United when they defeated Hinckley 3-0 in September.
He departed for Lichfield shortly afterwards, and his new side have won two, lost two and drawn one of their five most recent league matches.
Carl Abbott hopes to have midfielder Ross Clarke available to make his first appearance in a Hinckley shirt after signing from Sutton Coldfield Ton recently.
